Molchanovs athlete Hua Yang Huang breaks down the 112m CWTB dive that set a new national freediving record for Taiwan. Hua Yang completed the Constant Weight with Bifins dive on the final day of the 2026 Asian Freediving Cup, but the record-setting performance was far from straightforward. He faced current, jellyfish, extreme narcosis and hypoxia that nearly cost him the surface protocol. Despite these challenges, he completed the dive, received a white card, and secured the new Taiwanese national record. In this episode of Beneath the Dive, Hua reviews the performance from start to finish, revealing what happened at depth, how he responded when the dive became difficult, and what he learned from setting a 112m freediving record for Taiwan.
