Freedive Central provides a modern, free platform to manage freediving competitions. Register your event, manage athlete entries, compute live scores, and share real-time standings worldwide.
The first step to managing your own competitions on Freedive Central is to have an active account configured with **Organizer** status. This gives you immediate access to your exclusive management dashboard.
To get started, you need to have a user account on Freedive Central. Click one of the buttons below to log in or create a new account before proceeding with organizer activation.
With your Organizer profile active, you gain access to a private area where you can register and manage all your sports events autonomously.
Access Management Area: In the main site menu, click "Management Area" to view your competition dashboard.
Start a New Registration: Click the + Create New Competition button at the top of the dashboard page.
Define Typology: Enter the event name and choose the format of the competition: Indoor (Pool) or Depth (Sea / Open Water).
All new competitions are initially created in private mode (draft). This allows you to set up rules, choose disciplines, and register athletes at your own pace. The event will only be visible on the global public calendar once you decide to publish it.
Customize the rules and settings of your event. Freedive Central adapts to the specifics of your competition to automate calculations and official validations:
For pool competitions (Indoor), select the size of the pool (25 meters, 50 meters, or other size).
Freedive Central offers flexibility to manage the list of participating athletes in your event, saving time on administrative tasks:
Online Registration by Athletes: If you enable online registration in the event settings, registered athletes can sign up autonomously on the event's public page.
Manual Registration by Organizer: In your sports management dashboard, you can add athletes directly. Search by name or email and add them with a single click.
Confirm Presence (Check-in): On the day of the event, confirm the physical presence of athletes. Only athletes with a 'Confirmed' status will be active for result entry and live results tracking.
When managing participants, make sure that gender, country, and birthdate data are completed on their profiles. If information is missing, you can edit it directly in your management table to prevent errors in rankings and record validation.
The result entry screen is designed to be simple, allowing you to easily enter, edit, or remove results in real time during the event. Simply insert the Announced Performance (AP), the Realized Performance (RP), the card color (White, Yellow, Red), and whether the depth control tag was retrieved (for sea events). The scoring engine automatically calculates points and penalties according to the selected regulation.
The system matches entered performances against national and world histories to automatically flag Personal Bests (PB) and National Records (NR). If you do not agree with any of these automatic detections, you can manually edit these sections to correct them. Additionally, you can add a link to an online video stream for each day of the event, centralizing all live coverage and content for your viewers.
Ensure maximum visibility for athletes, clubs, and sponsors. Freedive Central is designed to facilitate instant sharing on social media:
Real-Time Results (Live Results): Your event gets an exclusive, optimized public page (e.g., freedivecentral.com/live/event-name-id/). Fans and family members around the world can follow the overall rankings live.
Integrated Mobile Sharing: The event page includes quick share buttons. When clicked, it opens the phone's native share menu to easily post to WhatsApp, Telegram, or social media.
Digital Performance Cards (Athlete Cards): Athletes can download high-quality custom graphics featuring their best performances of the event, perfect for posting on Instagram Stories or Facebook, promoting the competition virally.
